Daily Style: Tuesday, 7/31

denim pencil skirt (Bisou Bisou @ JCP, $25)
black tank (H&M, $5)
sheer floral jacket (Xhilaration @ Target, $18)
teal heels (Just Fabulous, $40)
red coral necklace (Mimi's The Look, $18 w/Groupon), black stone ring (MNG by Mango @ JCP, $15)
Here's another way I wore this shear jacket, that I never got to show you.
This also might be a decent Lollapalooza get-up.

Anyone going to Lolla this year? I went a few years back, and that was the point at which I realized I am an old lady. It was too hot, the booze line was too long, my red wine was spilling all over the place as I tried to walk from one stage to the next (who orders red wine at a concert? ↑ this girl!)... I watched one band, then said f**k this, went home, ordered Chinese, and sat in the air conditioning. I used to enjoy outdoor concerts - Further Fest, Ozzfest, really anything at Alpine Valley... not anymore. Yep, I'm old. I've embraced it. Pretty soon I will be spending my Saturday nights watching Lawrence Welk with my TV dinner and turning in around 8 PM.

Daily Style: Friday, 9/30

black cigarette pants (Gap Outlet, $30) similar
black shell (thrifted, $4)
camel sweater (Mossimo @ Target, $30)
leopard booties (Dollhouse via Urbanog, $bday gift)
red coral necklace (Mimi's The Look, $18 w/Groupon)

I received part 1 of my bday presents last night and these booties were included.  These are the first leopard print shoes I've ever owned, I'm excited, but also unsure about how to style them.  Do you own any leopard print?  Do you feel that you can only wear certain colors with it?  I know red is an option, and I think jewel tones will work, I can't picture pastels working.  I have to admit, I'm very matchy-matchy.  I've never been able to pull off that un-matched look that others do so well.  On me, it just looks like I literally got dressed in the dark.

Daily Style: Wednesday, 9/14

black high-waisted flare pants (H&M, $35+$29 for alterations)
white oxford shirt (Merona, Mom's, $free)
leopard belt (Merona @ Target, $17) similar
black leather shooties (Worthington @ JCP) similar
red coral necklace (Mimi's The Look, $18 w/Groupon)

From what I've heard, and seen (online), there is next to nothing left of the Missoni for Target line.  I'm bummed.  Do I even waste my time checking out my Target tonight?

Daily Style: Friday, 9/2

black tiered skirt (nicole by Nicole Miller @ JCP)
'your art here' tee (H&M, $free via giveaway)
platform sandals (Blowfish via DSW, $35)
glass beaded necklace (Akira, $3 w/Groupon)

I won this shirt & another through a giveaway at The Budget Babe.  Yay!

I'm really into knotting my t-shirts, can you tell?  I did it last week on Friday and I liked it so much, I did it on Saturday too with a Rush shirt (I didn't take pics, I thought it would be a little monotonous).

P.S.  Please take my two polls above!  Top right.

Daily Style: Tuesday, 8/23

floral-print maxi dress (Bisou, Bisou @ JCP, $40 after coupons)
chambray shirt (Converse One Star @ Target, $12 on clearance) similar
black ruffle sandals (Corso Como via Marshall's, $40)
glass beaded necklace (Akira, $3 w/Groupon)

I injured my knee (I honestly don't know how) so I'm trying to wear flats for awhile.  (A week, at the very least.)  Have I ever told you how much I hate flats?  Well, I'm telling you now.  I almost prefer knee pain to flats.

Daily Style: Friday, 6/10

white maxi dress (PayHalf, $20) similar eBay item, similar
chambray shirt (Converse One Star @ Target, $12 on clearance)
black sandals (Worthington @ JCP)
glass beaded necklace (Akira, $3 w/Groupon)
silver spoon ring (flea market find) Etsy shop for Spoon Rings (& bracelets!)

Please excuse my crazy hair.  I didn't realize how sticky-uppy it was before I saw these pics.  I'm sort-of in love with this outfit, even if it's not translating in pictures.  It's comfortable and I'm really glad I can pull off the tied-shirt look.  (At least I think I can pull it off, anyway.)  Do you ever have those days when you love what you're wearing so much, you almost don't want the day to end?  Do you ever consider wearing the same thing the next day too?  Well, I am.

Daily Style: Friday, 6/3

black poly blouse (Separate Issue, thrifted, $4) similar & better, not black
black/beige printed pants (Express, thrifted, $3.50)
black sandals (Worthington @ JCP)
black belt (a.n.a. @ JCP)
glass beaded necklace (Akira, $3 w/Groupon)

I was really excited about this outfit...  Until I put it on and received negative comments from the BF (what can I tell you, when he has an opinion, he doesn't hold back).  Now I'm self-conscious about it.

One of the reasons I was excited is because I thrifted all the clothing.  I haven't frequented thrift stores since I was a teenager.  I just lost the patience and didn't think I'd find anything good.  Seeing that others can do so well (Thrift & Shout, in particular) inspired me to give it a try.  Maybe my first time didn't go so well.

This necklace, however, is a different story.  I purchased this $25 necklace for $1 Groupon+$2.33 tax.  I waited in line for an hour.  Apparently my time isn't worth more than $1.

There were many M.C. Hammer jokes made this morning.  Please be honest.  Is this as awful and he says it is?  Why am I considering a straight man's opinion?

Am I allowed to buy that UO shirt?  It's on sale!
