black poly blouse (Separate Issue, thrifted, $4) similar & better, not black
black/beige printed pants (Express, thrifted, $3.50)
black sandals (Worthington @ JCP)
black belt (a.n.a. @ JCP)
glass beaded necklace (Akira, $3 w/Groupon)
I was really excited about this outfit... Until I put it on and received negative comments from the BF (what can I tell you, when he has an opinion, he doesn't hold back). Now I'm self-conscious about it.
One of the reasons I was excited is because I thrifted all the clothing. I haven't frequented thrift stores since I was a teenager. I just lost the patience and didn't think I'd find anything good. Seeing that others can do so well (Thrift & Shout, in particular) inspired me to give it a try. Maybe my first time didn't go so well.
This necklace, however, is a different story. I purchased this $25 necklace for $1 Groupon+$2.33 tax. I waited in line for an hour. Apparently my time isn't worth more than $1.
There were many M.C. Hammer jokes made this morning. Please be honest. Is this as awful and he says it is? Why am I considering a straight man's opinion?
Am I allowed to buy that UO shirt? It's on sale!
