Fashion Find: Winter Coats

I hope y'all don't mind, I'm using the Fashion Find post to link up to Fabulous But Evil's Target Tuesday.  With December quickly approaching, I've been thinking about getting a new winter coat.  I can't afford to spend a lot, nor do I want to, on my 3rd one - here are some stylish options from Target.com.

Classic

$55 @ Target.com
A double-breasted, wool trench is a classic style that looks good on almost everyone.  Target has one for $55, coming in a variety of colors, my favorites pictured above.

A shorter version is available in plus sizes.

$30 @ Target.com

Puffers

Left: $60  /  Right: $55  @ Target.com
The one on the left comes in 3 colors - green, wine & black with a removable faux fur trim.  Oh, yeah, lest I forget - filling is 100% down (combo of duck & goose.)  I think you'll be hard pressed to find that for under $100 elsewhere.

Finding a puffer that flatters is hard to find for under $100, but I think this Converse One Star (on the right) will be.  (I'll give you a hint - it's all in the belt.)  I have last year's version of this jacket in black.  It's figure flattering and crazy warm.  Seriously, almost too warm some days.  I'm tempted to get the purple one.  $55 for a ridiculously warm jacket = unheard of.

Vintage

$55-60 @ Target.com
This coat has a vintage feel with the faux fur trim (removable) and gorgeous mustard color!  If you buy this in any other color, we aren't friends, OK?

Alternatives

$55-73 @ Target.com

Classic wool, double-breasted trench, wait... with ruffles!  In pink!  This coat comes in a variety of colors and sizes in misses and plus.  I freakin' love a funnel-neck...

Left: $60  /  Middle: $45  /  Right: $45-50  @ Target.com
All three options here are wonderful.  Whether you want a military feel, cape or sleek, menswear-inspired, you can't go wrong with any of these - all for under $100, some under $50.  Bonus - free shipping at Target.com when you spend $50.

Which coat is your favorite?

Daily Style: Tuesday, 10/18

beige dress (Jones Wear Dress @ JCP, $36)
black blazer (Merona @ Target)
brown boots (H&M, $40)
leopard belt (Merona @ Target, $17)

Today I'm participating in Fabulous But Evil's Target Tuesday!  My first outfit choice this morning was nixed when I noticed, while ironing my black & white skirt from H&M (that I've worn ONCE!), that the white band had marks all over it.  I just washed it, so WTF?!  I'm hoping another go in the wash with non-chlorine bleach will do the trick, but I'm worried I might have to put real bleach to work on it.  And I'm even more worried that the marks are permanent.  (I'm a a worrier, can't-cha tell?)

Anyway, I threw this together and didn't realize until later in the day that I am actually wearing TWO Target items.  I have so much Target in my wardrobe, it's pretty easy to accidentally wear some.  I've had this blazer since about 2000; that's considered vintage now, yeah?

Anyway, go here to check out more Target Tuesday posts.

And don't forget, tomorrow is Love Your Body Day, so get ready to link up you body-love posts at Two Eyes in the Mirror.

Also, I will be wearing purple to help spread awareness about domestic abuse.  Won't you join me?  If you have a blog, please post a purple ribbon and text as well.  You can grab the ribbon & text here and here.

If there are any other challenges or events happening, let me know in the comments!
