Some might assume that pastels are only for warmer weather (spring/summer) but I cannot be held to such narrow confines. I'm a grown-ass adult, and I will do as I please. 

On another note, scarves are currently (or once again) my favorite styling piece. Almost every time I go shopping, I purchase a new one. Unlike shoes, they don't take up a lot of space, but just like shoes, they can make or break your look. Imagine this outfit without the scarf... BORING! The scarf ties everything together. Styling scarves can be a bit tricky; you have to find the style that works for you. For  me, I like long, wide scarves. I tie opposite corners together to make a full circle (otherwise called "Infinity") and then I loop over my head at least twice, sometimes thrice. You may have to try different styles on to get a feel for what looks best on you. As you may remember in this post, the "Modern One Loop" looks terrible on me, but I gave it the old college try.

 I'm pretty sure summer is in full-swing now.  You know how I know?  The forecasted temp is 90° F for today and tomorrow.  Also, a shit-ton of fruit flies have made my home theirs.  And they are NOT paying rent.  I've set up 3 traps and I still can't get rid of the f**kers.  These mothers are breeding faster than I can kill them!  I've poured bleach down all my drains.  I've hunted them down and killed them with my bare hands.  I think they're conspiring to slowly drive me mad...

How many of us find perfume commercials incredibly nondescript?  Take this one for example -

What does "Beautiful" smell like?  Beauty?  Weddings?  Creepy little boys that lurk outside your dressing quarters?  (Speaking of, I've met boys this age, and none of them were like this.)

Does anyone purchase a perfume based on a commercial they've seen?  I think it's more likely that they will not purchase based on the commercial.  For instance, this commercial annoys me, so when I see it in the department store, I will be reminded of my feelings of annoy and will steer clear.

This skirt was one of my best finds, to date.  I didn't fit that well over my leggings (standard thrifting outfit) but I'm glad I decided it was worth the $2.50 risk.

This is my second attempt to make these pants chic... It's not happening.  Hopefully I can distract you with my awesome new DIY necklace (I've already received one compliment, so far) and my crazy comfortable new chair:
