It's unnecessarily hot in Chicago.  You're lucky I even bother putting on any clothes at all.

In other news, apartment searchers - beware of this scam.  I'm casually searching for a new place and have been emailed by these scammers twice.  I didn't fall for it either time, but I thought I should look into it after the second email.  Especially because the language used was almost verbatim as the first email.  Grrr... the apartments seemed so promising - washer/dryer in unit and everything!

I've been a bad blogger.  After this Saturday the weather got really weird.  Sunday and Monday were unbearably hot - I'm talking high 90s.  It's pretty much impossible to look halfway decent when it's 98° and you have no A/C.  (I'm talking about myself here.)  Then it started to cool down... to about 40 at night!  That was right after I finally broke down and purchased a window unit.  And struggled to get it inside and installed by myself.  Several men passed me while I was lugging this huge box down the street and not one offered to help.  BTW, it's not just a saying, chivalry really is dead.

Also some shit went down with my apartment that I'm not happy about.  So I've spent some time and energy (and copious amount of wine and cider) dealing with that.
