On day 4, a Friday, I went to Portobello Market on suggestion from my Airbnb host, Maria.
On Portobello Road, there were all these cute shops as seen above. Unfortunately, they all sell the same crap.
Cute multi-colored houses.
I picked up a hot mulled spiced wine on my way to the market. I accidentally got a bit on my phone, so it was sticky for almost the rest of my trip.
What? ...Oh! Trucking!
The outside and inside of Bolongaro Trevor. I bought my Mom a beautiful silk scarf here. The saleswoman was very nice and when I handed her my ID, she was like, "Where do I know Illinois... oh, Wayne's World, party time! Excellent!" Ha! She was cute.
I was watching this man & woman (married couple, I assume) making these "Portobello Burgers" and at first I thought they were made from Portobello mushrooms. It took me awhile to realize they were called "Portobello Burgers" becuase they were from "Portobello Market" - DUH! Anyway, the patties started about twice the size of this, and on it they put sauteed eggplant and onion, a pre-made spicy sauce, a tomato/onion cold mixture sauce, raw tomato and feta cheese on a big, fluffy bun. I asked how much, and the man told me £5 but I wouldn't pay until after I ate it and if I didn't like it, I didn't pay. I watched awhile longer than decided to get one. I gave him the £5 right away. I had little to no doubt this was gonna be good. I added some garlic mayo and this thing was AMAZING. Seriously, I'm salivating just thinking about it now. I was starving so this hit the spot.
This coat was from Scotland or Ireland and was only £100.
Inside and outside of the All Saints store. I love this place but they are too rich for my blood.
Just a pretty house.
