Ugh, I'm so behind on blogging it's LITERALLY NOT FUNNY. I want to tell you about my trip, but I'm starting to forget stuff because it's been so long! (Good thing I have notes, in the form of sent emails to my BF and Mom.)
Day 3!
I slept in on day 3 (who am I kidding? I slept in every day) because I got in sort-of late from my concert the night before. I did have a bit of a hangover though, which must have been a combo with jet-lag because I did not even drink that much. Oh, yeah, I was watching Hannibal on my trip and it gave me terrible nightmares. I dreamt about the number 3 and some other wacky shit. So, I drank the night before and didn't get good sleep. The perfect start to a great day.
Anyway, I had plans to meet Bethany of Arched Eyebrow in Golden Square that night so I decided to head out to the area early and just hang out/explore.

Cool car! |
The weather was shit. It was raining and cold and windy and just miserable. I hopped on the 9 and got off around Picadilly Square. I walked for a bit then stopped into Costa for some grub, a hot drink and free WiFi. There I had the most amazing grilled cheese. It had cheese on the TOP, as well.
I didn't do much but walk around and take pics. I saw a bunch of shops that house shit I can't afford. I asked to take pictures inside the Alexander McQueen shop and they said "No, but you can find everything online." ... Not exactly the point...
They let me take pictures in the Lulu Guinness store.
I don't even remember the names of the places I walked through, but it was basically the Rodeo Drive of London,
the Times Square of London,
China Town (named the same everywhere, apparently),
and the Boystown of London (Soho).
Of course everything is much prettier, mainly because it's old.
I stopped into a pub to get a half pint and noticed an American (the tipping tipped me off... and his lack of an accent). Somehow we ended up talking and he told me he made monsters (his words) and he was in London for a workshop and his wife would be alone for a few days. Funny, I'm alone too, maybe we can hang out. He invited me back to their table to meet his wife and I gave them my card and told her to email me so we could get together and raise a raucous. They wanted me to stay but I was almost late to meet Bethany so I had to go. (Boo. They never emailed me.)
Bethany and I walked around, went shopping in River Island (I would shop here a lot if it was local), a vintage shop (vintage is not different, so eh), and a gigantic Topshop. I tried on this dress and bought it.
Then we got Fish & Chips. Yum.
It was cool getting to meet someone with which I've only had online interactions. (Side Note: I'm always up for this, so if you visit Chicago, get in touch with me!)
No observations for this day. Too tired and blah feeling to think.
