Tonight I went to BUZZ - Burgers, Barrels & Beer. This is my review.

First of all, they are missing 2 of the 3 things listed in their name - barrels and beer. Being a BYOB, there is no liquor on site for purchase. Secondly, the decor of this place is very confusing considering the name and what they are serving. White tablecloths, cloth napkins, serious art, not the decor one would expect for a burger joint.

Now, onto the burgers. Most of the burgers on the menu do not contain beef. This is a major turnoff for a burger lover, like myself. I don't go for burgers to eat salmon, pork, or turkey. I half-sied the Donut and the American, because, honestly, the other burgers were too weird for me. Not that I don't like interesting combinations, but I didn't think they would taste very good. The Donut was very strange. I mostly tasted the sweetness of the donut and the tartness of the ketchup with a touch of spice, probably from the pepper jack cheese. The American was standard, but lacking in flavor. Once I tasted the meat of the burger on it's own, I knew why. NO SEASONING. The meat had 0 flavor. This is something I encounter in restaurants a lot, and it's incredibly frustrating. Salt and pepper are your friends, chefs/cooks. Please use them.

Onto the sides - We had fries with our burgers and the Pisa Tower beforehand. The Pisa Tower was blah. The tomatoes were not ripe, had been refrigerated (which ruins the flavor of tomatoes, if you are not aware) and the mozzarella was very dry. The fries were the best part of the meal, even if they were only mediocre. They tasted fresh cut, but could have spent more time in the fryer, as they were very limp.

Worst of all, the prices at this place are pretty ridiculous, especially when you consider that you can get a Kuma burger for about the same price, which is actually seasoned, and you get fries with it. I will never understand a REAL restaurant that makes you pay more for fries with your burger. This isn't McDonald's or Wendy's - it should come with fries.
