I finally got a much-needed fill today. Another woman getting her nails did complimented me on my scarf. She asked where I got it and I told her "London", but then proceeded to tell her that she can get it online. I all but wrote down the web link for her. I love being able to help people spend their money on the shit they've been looking for especially if they get to save some dough in the process, because she was expecting a scarf like this would cost at least $100, if not more, and she was well prepared to spend that much. I once read something where this woman was asking for advice on how to deal with co-workers asking where she purveyed her fashionable items, because she was upset when they would go out and buy the items after she "did all the work" searching the item out. It was the most ridiculous question I'd ever heard! Anyway, I am the complete opposite of that woman. I take it as a compliment when someone wants to have what I have and then goes out and gets it. We all style our items differently, so what's the big deal? I actually wouldn't even mind if someone copied my look to the T. I would be flattered.
What about you? Do you like to tell people where you purchased your fashion finds and how they can get their own?
(And now I'm a little sad because I can't find my scarf online. It is mighty big and I paid £35 (about $56) for it. I just looked at the measurements of the one I thought was it and it is not right. Sad face.)
