Please forgive my absence (or rather, the gap in outfit photos; I'm always absent as of late). A tiny piece of SD card cracked off into my camera and my dumbass decided to try to fish it out with a paper clip, safety pin, whatever I could find really. Let my mistake be a lesson to you. Just leave it! If I had just taken it in somewhere first, maybe they could have gotten the piece out. Instead, I had to pay more money than I would have liked to replace the SD card slot.

I was never good at the game, Operation, but I thought I could fish this plastic piece without fucking anything up, and boy was I wrong. You really don't want to be sticking metal pieces into electronic devices ever. Especially if you sucked at Operation. I could have shorted my motherboard, and then I would have had to just buy a whole new camera, so I'm actually pretty lucky, but that doesn't mean I will do it in the future. From now on, I will immediately bring it to a professional. Let them be liable.

If you need a reference for camera repair in Chicago, I went to International Camera and I thought they were great. The price was reasonable and they completed the work in a short amount of time. They also spent a lot of time with me trying to find a solution for my remote shutter release issue.
