A co-worker of mine has been listening to Dr. Laura on Sirius radio and tells me about the callers frequently. (And about how she cuts people off and is very pushy. Which would not be like me at all.) I had the chance to listen to a caller and it was great! The caller wanted to know how she can get her fat husband to eat better and work out and her response was, you can't, and you should leave him so he can find someone else. Her initial statement retort was "Did you date him for 20 minutes before you got married?", and then she went on a rant about women marrying men and then wanting to change them.
Now, I don't agree with a lot of Dr. Laura's values, but I do agree that you should never enter a marriage, or any relationship, really, where you are not accepting someone as a whole. If you think that you can hook 'em and then change them, you are in for a rude awakening.
