Once I saw this faux leather peplum top, I had to have it. The first one purchased was too small, so I immediately purchased a bigger size. (Like I said, I needed it.) Then I felt like this one didn't fit quite right either (it seems I'm in between sizes in this style/cut/etc.), so I searched online for an affordable faux leather peplum top to replace it. Though I didn't return it, just yet. (I think it's safe to say that sometimes I get a little crazy hunting down certain trends.) I found one at Urban and almost convinced myself on splurging the $89 for an ill-fitting vegan leather top. (A friend talked me out of it. Thanks, J.) I found one at Zara that wasn't quite what I was looking for, but might work, so I ordered it for home delivery.
Welp, I got that top in the mail today, and suffice it to say, nope. So, I'm glad I held on to this one. Let's talk about Zara for a minute. I'm done with Zara. I've decided I'm not going to attempt to give my business to a company that refuses to make sizes that accommodate a wider variety of body types, including mine. The top I purchased today was a size L. I measured the waist flat - it was 13". In case your math is a little rusty, that's a 26" waist... on what planet is a 26" waist a large?! Zara doesn't have a plus size line either, so there isn't the option to size up. Once your waist is over 26", Zara doesn't want anything to do with you. Not cool, Zara, not cool. It just doesn't seem like good business to not make your products available to the masses. And when the average US woman's waist is over 26", well...
And don't tell me - "They're European!" If you sell your shit in America, you should size your shit for Americans.
