Daily Style: Wednesday, 4/20

Today is one of those days where I come to the conclusion that some items in my closet (ahem, these) are not working for me.  And I have to get there by wearing these items one last time.  I'll try to look at it as their last hurrah.

The only good thing about this extended winter we're having is that I'm finally exploring colored tights.  I picked up these Hue tights at Macy's on Monday for around $9 (originally $12.50 with 25% off).  That was the base of my outfit.  I added this green skirt I've grown to loathe (She Said from JCPenney), a burgundy/red cami (Discovery, $4.99), blue short-sleeved sweater I've had too long (Love Lola from Kohl's?), Big Buddha Donna ankle boots (now $30 at Shoes.com), mustard skinny belt (Target, $12.99), a green-toned plastic necklace (Target, about $15) and my Anne Klein rose gold/ceramic watch (Amazon.com, $74 (now $95)).

I was on the fence about this skirt from the get, but a friend talked me into it.  I've had trouble with it since the day I brought it home.  It's too tight, too short and too young.  The sweater I've had for too long.  And I've tried to make it work for too long.  It's too bulky and makes me look bigger than I am.  (Never good.)  I'm done with these items, I need to make room for better things.
